Text, direction and acting by Ivan Đova Župa
Production The Little Prince Theater / CZK Omiš
ABOUT THE PLAY
The monodrama "I am a lady..." was created by using social networks and turned into a serious theater performance. The records were taken from the Facebook profile of the author Mary Bauk. She talks about the position of women, and the measurable amount of tenderness, vulnerability and strength of a modern women, she removes many immoral masks that determine human life as imperatives, thus problematizing many archetypes; the role of mother and motherhood, the role of a business woman, the role of something wasted and unimportantly forgotten such as the life of a housewife. The whole world turns into a colorful, glittering circus, and we can choose the roles ourselves in our imagination or on Facebook. The piece is told through the mantle of fine sarcasm and sharp dark comedy.
